Wedding Anniversary // 63 Years of Love & Commitment

Today my very much loved grandparents experienced their 63rd wedding anniversary. It was spent apart whilst pop stayed home and watched the replays of the footy and nan went to bingo, but when their apart they are always still together. I have been fortunate enough to grow up close to my grandparents and to still have them both, I have also grown up always watching, learning, and admiring the respect they have for one another, the honesty they share and unconditional love that will never divid them. These guys are the pinnacle of true love for me, something that motivates me, something to aspire to sharing with my wife and a memory of them that will last forever.

A Wandon Valley Wedding, Jess + Steve

I first met Jess & Steve early last year prior to their wedding. Their story was one touched my sole and the love that they share conquered all the distance placed between them. Steve at the time was a soldier completing his latest deployment in Afghanistan before tiring the knot with Jess. Amazing bravery on both parts and an experience that clearly only ever made their love stronger.

Margan Family Wines, Hunter Valley NSW AU

On the 26th April I had an epic opportunity to capture the wedding of Elise and Peter at the beautiful Margan Family Wines Vineyard. Margan Vineyard won winery of the year in 3 categories last year in 2013, and it wasn’t hard to see why. Margan is a little of the main stream wine tour route being in Broke. But for anyone planning a Hunter Valley wedding I reckon it pays to look outside of the immediate and most popular venues. Broke is a beautiful little country town with a lot of heritage and a real rustic feel. The fields and the golden evening light make for some of the most incredible wedding photos. The grounds of Margan and barrel room reception venue are only just the start of the show case that will make your night perfect and memorable. The food was divine and staff were sincerely a sensational team that contributed to a significant memory for this beautiful couple.

Lauren + Ian, Hunter Valley NSW AU

I co-shot an awesome wedding with good friend Josh Vincent in the Beautiful, but cold Hunter Valley. I think it was close to the coldest i have ever been! There was a sudden cold snap today with temps dropping to sub 10’s and extreme wind chill across the vines. But you wouldn’t know though if you look at the photos of Lauren + Ian. They where extremely brave with conditions below 10C at Tamburlaine Vineyard before entering their reception to rock the night away with the tunes from Simon at XYDJ.
